Welcome
Time tracking for Jira. Log and plan time on your issues, hand in timesheets, and report on where the time went.
LogQuill lives inside Jira. People log the time they spend on Jira issues and plan the time they expect to spend, hand in a timesheet at the end of each period, and their team leaders review it. Reports show where the time went, by project, epic, person, team, account and more.
Everything is saved in Jira too: a worklog logged in LogQuill is a worklog on the Jira issue, and its remaining estimate goes down as it would with Jira's own Log work.
Where to start
Getting started
Install the app, set it up for your site, and find your way around.
Your time
Log and plan time, the Time Tracking page, suggestions, and your timesheet.
Teams and reports
Teams, reviewing your team's timesheets, and reports you can save and share.
Administration
Working hours, holidays, timesheet rules, worklog fields, accounts, roles, the Jira sync.
Who can do what
What you see depends on your role in LogQuill, which an administrator gives you. Each page in these guides says who can use what it describes. In short:
- Everyone who tracks time logs and plans their own time and hands in timesheets.
- Team leaders review their team's timesheets and see their team's time in reports.
- Managers see everyone's time and run every team and every timesheet.
- Administrators set up the site: working hours, holidays, rules, fields, accounts and roles.
Roles can be adjusted, and new ones created, under People and roles.
